Impact
Installing Open Boot PROM patch 111292-10 on the following platforms could result in a system hang during the next boot process following a sys-suspend (1M) operation. The system will be unuseable until power cycled.
Note: Patch 111292-10 has been WITHDRAWN and is no longer available from SunSolve.

Notes: Upgrading an affected system to Open Boot PROM (OBP) version 4.6.0 (via patch 111292-10) will trigger this issue. To determine the system's current OBP version use the following Solaris commands:
% /usr/sbin/prtconf -V
or
% /usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag -v | grep OBP
The OBP version can also be determined by running the '.version' command from the "ok" prompt.
Symptoms
After a sys-suspend (1M) operation, the system will hang when the power is turned on and the system begins to boot. The "ok" prompt is visible, but the keyboard is non-responsive. The error message is as follows:

cpu_id 1, after stop-self!...
Illegal Instruction

Workaround
If this issue occurs, the system should be power cycled and booted normally.

This issue is addressed in the following releases:

Note: Patch 111292-11 may be installed without removing patch 111292-10.
