Should the described issue occur, messages similar to the following may be experienced in the domain showlogs:

    Aug 24 11:20:35 ctl0usnbka023 Domain-A.SC: [ID 588392 local1.error]
    Virtual TOD: detected error: ConsoleBus ERROR:
    errorCode=08008800 (CM_EACK) ack=ee CBH Port 14 (SSC0) error=00400040 (CS_TO)
    I/O request: IB8.sbbc0.sram.13390 (11d13390) offset=01d13390 window=81000004 P=0 DD=1 space=4
    Error address: SB5.sbbc0.sram.52d8 (115052d8)
    Aug 24 11:20:35 ctl0usnbka023 Domain-A.SC: [ID 654812 local1.error]
    Virtual TOD: setting keyswitch position to off

The above error message was obtained from the Domain-A showlogs while Domain-C was undergoing a setkey off operation.


Workaround

There is no workaround. Please see the "Resolution" section below.


Resolution

This issue is addressed in the following releases:

SPARC Platform

  • Sun Fire 3800/4800/4810/6800 with firmware version 5.15.3 (delivered with patch 112884-04 or later)

Note: Sun Fire 3800/4800/4810/6800 systems with firmware versions 5.11.x, 5.12.x , 5.13.x and 5.14.x should be upgraded to 5.15.3 or later.
